Fodor's Review

This state beach also has 200 fire pits, so it's popular day and night. There are changing rooms, concession stands, lifeguards, Wi-Fi access, and ample parking. A 6-mile bike path connects to the area's other stretches of sand. Picnic areas can be reserved in advance for a $100 or $200 fee depending on location, otherwise it's first come, first served. On hot days, expect crowds at this broad, soft sandy beach. Amenities: food and drink; lifeguards; parking; showers; toilets. Best for: sunset; surfing; swimming; walking; surf fishing.
