Fodor's Review

Reprising the greatest hits of Burgundy (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir) and the Rhône (Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Viognier), Anaba tries to be all things to most wine drinkers and succeeds. Pinot Noirs from Dutton Ranch and Soberanes Vineyard, the latter in Monterey County's Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, are among the standouts, but all the wines, since 2014 made by Ross Cobb and Katy Wilson, both Pinot Noir pros, are thoughtfully crafted. The winery's bungalowlike tasting room sits at the northwest corner of the intersection of highways 121 and 116. A side patio faces the vineyards; if you don't mind a little highway noise, on a sunny day it's not a bad spot for a picnic put together at the deli across the street or nearby Angelo's.
