From Disneyland to the beach cities, laid-back Los Angeles definitely has a reputation as a family-friendly destination. Resorts and hotels along the coast, in particular, attract plenty of beach-going family vacationers looking for sun and sand castles. Some properties provide such diversions as in-room movies, toys, and video games; others have suites with kitchenettes and fold-out sofa beds. Hotels often provide cribs, rollaway beds, and references for babysitting services, but make arrangements when booking the room, not when you arrive.
