Fodor's Expert Review The NoMad Hotel

649 S. Olive St., Los Angeles, California, 90014, USA

This stunningly refurbished property used to house the Bank of Italy and touches of the old bank can still be seen throughout—most notably in the lobby bathrooms that are cut out of the original vault. Italian sensibilities flourish here like at the Venetian coffee bar with out-of-this-world croissants that also turns into a wine bar at night. Atelier rooms have stylish touches like standalone bathtubs and mid-century Italian fixtures. There are also 4,100 pieces of art in the hotel that have all been individually sourced. The lobby bar and Atrium restaurant are headed by master chefs and barkeeps, and the after-work crowd flocks in for creative cocktails.
