Fodor's Review

A 48-acre desert garden retreat designed to promote the conservation of arid regions, Tohono Chul—"desert corner" in the language of the Tohono O'odham—uses demonstration gardens, a greenhouse, and a geology wall to explain this unique desert area. Nature trails, a small art gallery, gift shops (including a great selection of desert plants), and a bistro can all be found at this peaceful spot. You can visit the restaurant and gift shops without paying admission.
