Fodor's Expert Review Fairbanks Ice Museum

Fairbanks Museum/Gallery

Ice has never been so cool—this museum presents the works of local and international artists who turn giant blocks of ice into intricate sculptures. The Ice Showcase, a large glass-wall display, is kept a consistent 20°F, and there's something to dazzle just about everyone (including an ice slide and occasional live demonstrations). Housed inside the historic Lacey Street Theater, the museum screens hourly films about the Northern Lights and ice carving.
