Fodor's Expert Review Crush Wine Bistro and Cellar
The combo of sharing-friendly small plates and an extensive wine list make Crush Anchorage's most conversation-friendly dining venue, the place to visit when you want to discuss adventures already lived or the ones to come. The menu is both inventive and budget-friendly, ranging from $3 plates of feta-stuffed Medjool dates to $9 servings of sherried portobello-and-spinach polenta, and beyond. Though it's more fun to share, diners who prefer a plate of their own can also opt for one of the daily dinner specials. Along with a world's worth of wines, Crush serves a selection of top-flight beers and some seriously beautiful espresso drinks. Housed in a building that could easily be a setting for a 1970s-era sci-fi flick, the interior is far warmer and more inviting than its curvy porthole-ish exterior.
