Greater Anchorage

Anchorage has swelled since its start as a tent city just over a century ago. Although the hub of activity is still centered Downtown, some of the city's largest and best attractions as well as a number of newer and noteworthy restaurants are situated throughout Greater Anchorage, which can look a bit sprawly and prosaic in places but also extends into the scenic Chugach foothills to the east.
