The best months for seeing whales are August and September, although some operators extend the season at either end if whales are around. Fjord tours are also available.

Tours of the Saguenay Fjord are available, and you can also take a day-long excursion on a chartered bus from Québec City, including a three-hour whale-watching cruise.
