Fodor's Expert Review Relais St-Denis
61 rue St-Denis, St-Sauveur-des-Monts, Québec, J0R 1R4, Canada
Once a wartime refuge for well-heeled English children and their governesses, this inn and spa now offers everyone a refuge from everyday stress, with a fireplace and a whirlpool bath in every room and a year-round outdoor heated pool and steam room. The building has a traditional sloping Quebecois roof and dormer windows. There is no restaurant, but he hotel has partnered with some of the restaurants around town to offer guests discounts.
PROS
- variety of spa services and in-room massage packages
- kitchenette in all rooms and suites
- walking distance to restaurants, outlet shopping, and activities
- most rooms have gas fireplaces
CONS
- not much to occupy the kids
- decor is basic and "businesslike," could use updating
