Fodor's Expert Review Hôtel Spa H20
3003 blvd. Ste-Adèle, Ste-Adèle, Québec, J8B 2N6, Canada Fodor's Choice
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Superb service, stunning rooms awash with color, a Nordic spa, and a terrace with a flower garden are highlights of this charming inn. Guest rooms, some with fireplaces, are decorated in styles that include Victorian, safari, and Inuit. Skiing is literally at your door, since the inn faces Le Chantecler's slopes. The restaurant, L'Eau a la Bouche ($$$$), interprets nouvelle cuisine with regional ingredients such as smoked trout from Ste-Agathe and venison loin from a local game farm. Owner-chef Anne Desjardins, a well-known and highly regarded Québécois personality, and her son Emmanuel offer a two-day cooking course (C$575), which includes two working days in the kitchen and one night's lodging (weekends only).
PROS
- outstanding restaurant
- stunning outdoor Nordic spa
CONS
- located uncomfortably close to busy highway
