Fodor's Review

The airy, colorful restaurant is housed inside a welcoming Old Montréal space with alcove windows, brick and stone walls and an intricately decorated ceiling lighting fixture that runs the entire length of the space. The cuisine is traditional Portuguese with plenty of seafood dishes but also a few choices for carnivores. Share a few tapas plates, like the grilled sardines fillets, salted cod tartlet or Portuguese style clams before you delve into the main show. The seafood stew with lima beans or veal cheek with seared polenta are both great choices. Don't forget to leave room for dessert; the natas—flaky Portuguese tarts filled with a vanilla-scented luscious custard—are quite delicious. The $21 lunchtime two-service prix fixe is a must.
