North Toronto

North Toronto encompasses Yonge Street between Eglinton Avenue—the neighborhood’s southern, more bold and youthful end, which has garnered the playful nickname "Yonge and Eligible"—and north to Lawrence Avenue, with its more refined restaurants and upscale boutiques. The streets to the east and west of Yonge Street are mainly residential, and at the eastern edge are two major tourist attractions: the Ontario Science Centre, a never-ending source of entertainment for the young and young-at-heart; and Toronto Botanical Garden and Edwards Gardens, a phenomenal display of flowers and plants.
