Fodor's Expert Review Victoria Park

Truro Park (National/State/Provincial)

At 400 acres, this park on the edge of downtown is Truro's biggest asset, with wooded hiking trails, a winding stream, two waterfalls, public tennis courts, and an outdoor (heated) pool that becomes a skating rink in the winter. Even if you're not staying in Truro, this park can be a good pit stop for car-weary travelers: kids especially will enjoy the pool, picnic pavilion, and playground. Free open-air family movies are screened on certain Friday nights in July and August, and a Sunday afternoon concert series runs from mid-June through early September at the Bandshell.
