Fodor's Expert Review La Cuisine Robicheau
Firmly established as the place to eat along this stretch of the coast, this restaurant specializes in seafood and Acadian cuisine . The excellent pâté à la râpure (rappie pie)—a traditional Acadian dish in this case containing grated potatoes and chicken or clams, all baked until brown—is usually the first thing to sell out. Come early if you'd like to sample it—or come early anyway, since they close at 8 pm. Other good choices include the fricot aux poutines râpées à la poule (chicken soup with potato dumplings) and the haddock topped with lobster. The restaurant, which overlooks the ocean, occupies a restored and extended house, and its five individually styled seating areas make for an intimate dining experience. If you want wine with your meal, you'll need to bring your own.
