Fodor's Review

The longest and tallest gondola in the world delivers jaw-dropping views as it travels 4.3 km (2.7 miles) from Whistler's Roundhouse to Blackcomb's Rendezvous Lodge, which sits at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Two gondolas have a glass-floor viewing area that are worth the extra few minutes wait; there's a separate lineup for these. A day-pass may seem costly until you realize that you can ride PEAK 2 PEAK as many times as you wish. In summer, the ski runs and the rest of the mountainsides open up to incredible hiking. Discounts are offered for multiple days.

Invigorating. exciting, challenging, beautiful vacation!

Site of the Winter Olympics, Whistler is well served with natural beauty, excitement and upscale hotels and restaurants. For extra excitement take the Peak To Peak gondola ride and wait for the gondola with the glass bottom which affords an incredible/scary view of the valley between Whistler and Blackcombe peaks. Spend some time on the Blackcombe side too and when you come down to earth again on the Whistler side, take the lift nearly to the top

and challenge yourself with a strenuous climb to the top in freezing temperatures with the snow piled high on the sides. Afterwards enjoy the sumptuous meals served in the many restaurants - we picked a different one each day and could catalog them all. We were sad to leave this wonderful place after an all too brief vacation(only a week).
