Fodor's Expert Review Peace Bridge
Downtown Calgary
Bridge
With it’s bright red hue, webbed walls and glass roof, the once-controversial Peace Bridge has become a cultural icon of Downtown; because of its tubular shape, some have compared it to a Chinese finger puzzle. The bridge crosses the Bow River just west of Prince’s Island Park, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to move back and forth between Downtown and the communities on the north side of the river. It provides ready access to Kensington.
