Fodor's Expert Review Casa Puuc

Calle 22 No. 199B Fodor's Choice

Well-known Mexican artist and boutique owner Claudia Fernández helped convert this 1914 house in García Ginerés into a six-room inn with a flawless sense of style. Every room has unique design elements and pieces, both vintage and new, but Fernández allowed the beauty of the architecture, with its original pasta tile floors and soaring ceilings, to shine, too. The neighborhood is similarly understated. This is a better choice if you want to spend your afternoon by the pool with a book and not a margarita in hand and without the services of larger hotels.
