Fodor's Expert Review Casa Marlene

Calle 39 No. 193, between Calles 38 and 40, Valladolid, Yucatán, 97780, Mexico

The good folks at Casa Tia Micha have opened a second colonial-style lodging just down the street, and it's another winner. (The parent property is actually smaller than its offspring here.) Accommodations, arranged around a lovely courtyard that’s large enough so that noise doesn’t carry, feature a mix of hardwood and wrought iron furniture with bright drapes and spreads. A pair of two-story suites come with a dining room and bar on the lower floor and a bedroom on the upper one. A full three-course breakfast fuels you for a day of sightseeing.
