Grupo Ecológico de la Costa Verde. In San Pancho, Grupo Ecológico de la Costa Verde works to save the olive ridley, leatherback, and eastern Pacific green turtles. Volunteers patrol beaches, collect eggs, maintain the nursery, tabulate data, and educate the public. (Apply any time during the year, via the Web site, for an assignment June through November.)
