A mosaic sign (crafted by co-owner Ricardo Rode) near the entrance hints at the beauty inside this small stylish inn offering a relaxed atmosphere and boutique feel without the boutique cost. Brilliant purple bougainvillea and orange lipstick vines line the patio, which showcases more of Rode's works by the fountain and small pool. Bóveda-style (arched brick) roofs top the rooms, which have terra-cotta tile floors and handmade Mexican furniture. Five of the rooms have kitchenettes, four have double beds, and a sundeck on the second floor is great for catching rays. Brides on a budget might consider this hotel for a destination wedding, especially since a huge garden area is available for weddings and events.
