Fodor's Review

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

This funky, open-air restaurant's seating is a jumble of wooden and concrete tables with a scattering of coconut palms—a classic Costa Rican beach bar. It regularly fills up in the evening, when local expats gather to watch the sunset. The lunch options include a small selection of appetizers, a fish sandwich, and the typical Costa Rican casado (fish fillet, or barbecued steak with rice and beans). At dinner, you can also get a fish fillet, or shrimp sautéed with garlic, barbecued chicken, or beef, and a few vegetarian options. It's basically just a good spot for a drink and snack on the beach, cooled by the constant sea breeze.
