Fodor's Review

It's a daily fiesta at this wildly popular new Mexican restaurant named for the "goat" of Mexican legend. A large garden area planted with tables is illuminated by strings of colorful lights. Square, blue-and-white wooden tables and chairs fill a thatched-roof rancho next to a long, rustic, cantina-style bar. All the Mexican favorites are here—in generous portions—with some intriguing and sophisticated additions. Kids' menu dishes come with healthy carrot and celery sticks. Bocas to accompany the many tequila-based cocktails include breaded-and-fried jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese; or grilled sweet corn with chipotle cream and cheese. Pitchers of sangria, local craft beers, and imported Mexican beers are on tap. Families tend to populate the garden while surfers and grown-ups gravitate to the bar area. Save room for pots of cayenne-accented chocolate cream, or share a plate of cinnamon-and-sugar-sprinkled churros. Kids will love it here, and so will their parents.
