Smack-dab in the middle of town, this pleasant place offers a respite from the commotion of central Escazú. Though it's not old, the building replicates the historic style of an airy Italian villa with a large central courtyard. The theme of spaciousness continues in the rooms and suites, which all have balconies and hardwood or tile floors. Beds have quality mattresses with Italian linens, down comforters, and pillows. Beacon has become a favorite of the increasing numbers of visitors who come to Costa Rica for health care, a fast-growing segment of the tourism industry.
