Fodor's Expert Review NAR Restaurant
Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.
Focused on preserving traditional, authentic recipes from around Turkey, NAR ("Natural and Regional") Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Armaggan boutique and is the only fine-dining establishment in the Grand Bazaar area. Signature dishes include the incredibly tender lamb tandır, cooked in an underground oven. The best deal is at lunchtime, when diners can assemble a meal from several daily small dishes—options might include cured salmon or stuffed zucchini blossoms, or an entrée of meatballs with sour-cherry stew. There's a vast array of delectable desserts made on-site by a master confectioner, and an extensive wine list has more than 100 established and up-and-coming Turkish wines.
