Fodor's Expert Review Şıra Restaurant
Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.
This intimate restaurant serves well-prepared dishes served in a charming ambience that feels elegant and upscale but not fussy. With beautiful views of the valleys from windows on three sides, it’s also a splendid spot to watch the sunset over dinner. Highlights of the creative meze selection include halloumi cheese wrapped in grape leaves, and a dish of hummus with pastırma (pastrami), accented with pesto. Main courses, as elsewhere in Cappadocia, emphasize meat, though fish is available, too; prices are on the high side but portions are generous. There’s a good selection of local red wines.
