Bus and Tram Travel

Local buses and trams operate every few minutes on all city routes from 5 or 6 am to around midnight (depending on the day of the week and the route). On Friday and Saturday, the Noctambus night-bus service kicks in between 2 and 4 am.

The standard one-ride fare is 3.50 SF. Day passes, known as cartes journalières, are available from vending machines, Unireso sales points, and the Transports Publics Genevois (TPG) booths at the train station and Rond-point de Rive. Unlimited city-center travel between 9 am and the last bus costs 7 SF; 10.60 SF will buy you a ticket that allows two people to travel for the price of one on weekends.
