Bus Travel

Until the high-speed AVE train line opens between Antequera and Granada in late 2019, buses are the best way to reach the Costa del Sol from Granada, and, aside from the train service from Málaga to Fuengirola, the best way to get around once you're here. During holidays it's wise to reserve your seat in advance for long-distance travel.

On the Costa del Sol, bus services connect Málaga with Cádiz (2 daily), Córdoba (4 daily), Granada (20 daily), and Seville (7 daily). In Fuengirola you can catch buses for Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, and Algeciras. The Avanzabus bus company serves most of the Costa del Sol. ALSA serves Granada, Córdoba, Seville, and Nerja. Los Amarillos serves Jerez and Ronda, and Comes runs services to Cádiz. There are also daily buses between Málaga airport and Granada and Seville.
