Casa Rural do Louteiro
This charming, rustic inn in a tiny village near Las Médulas was lovingly converted from a series of medieval ruins. It's an easy walk from the hotel to the Roman gold mines. Rooms are tiny individual cottages of varying sizes with natural features like living trees and stone or slate floors. Extra beds for families are also available. The owners will prepare meals on request (the local wine is a delight) and can recommend hiking trails or other activities.
