Fodor’s Expert Review
Food is hearty at this friendly, family-run place up the road from the tourist office. Locals head here for the fried squid, carne fiesta (slow-cooked meat stew), and daily specials, which might include salpicón de atún (tuna, tomato, and onion salad) or costillas con papas (spareribs with potatoes). The portions are big, so you may want to order dishes to share. This is a noisy, fast-moving restaurant, so get here early (by 1 pm for lunch or 8 pm for dinner) to be sure of a table.
