Fodor's Expert Review Hermandad de Pescadores
One of the Basque country's most historic and typical fishermen's guilds, this central restaurant exudes tradition. At simple wooden tables and a handsome mahogany bar, local volunteers serve up simple, hearty fare—think sopa de pescado, mejillones (mussels), and the almejas a la marinera (clams in a thick, garlicky sauce)—at better than reasonable prices.
