Fodor's Expert Review The Dundonnell

A832, Dundonnell, Highland, IV23 2QR, Scotland

Located along "Destitution Road," around 30 miles from Gairloch, this lovely family-run hotel sits on the edge of Little Loch Broom, with the mountains of An Leachall rising up behind. It couldn't be more picturesque. A floral theme in the guest rooms and public rooms gives them an old-fashioned feel, and some rooms have stunning views of pristine hills and lochs. The restaurant serves homemade soups and fresh seafood, including sea bass, monkfish, and salmon. Despite its remote location, the hotel also hosts regular music events.
