Located at the bottom of the Boath House Estate, the Wendy Hoose—named for owner Wendy Matheson, who runs the property with her husband, Don—is a charming B&B, where the historic exterior gives way to a thoroughly modern interior. The two rooms, Meadowside and Burnside, offer luxurious beds with crisp white linen, spacious bathrooms en suite, and Nespresso coffee machines (as well as crumbly homemade shortbread). The mezzanine lounge has comfy armchairs, a large bookcase, and quirky works of art. Best of all, the breakfast is delicious: ask for the lip-smacking stone-ground porridge.
