Fodor's Review

Occupying a converted stable behind the Hillhead subway station in busy Ashton Lane, this restaurant is an institution among Glasgow's media and theater communities, who most days can be found in the busy upstairs bar. The main restaurant has a large cobbled courtyard with a glass roof, offering alfresco dining without the risk of rain. The creative menu includes breast of guinea fowl with porcini gnocchi and an onion velouté or haunch of roe with roast squash. The more informal brasserie, upstairs beside the bar, serves less expensive dishes like haggis with neeps and tatties. There's an excellent lunch and pretheater menu for £15.95 for two courses and £19.95 for three.
