Fodor's Review

One of the most iconic buildings in the Merchant City, the 17th-century Hutchesons Hospital, has become an elegant, seafood-focused restaurant and bar. Downstairs is divided between the bar area and the café section, its dark-wood decor recalling earlier times; upstairs the dining room has tall windows and beautifully decorated ceilings. The lunch/pretheater menu is limited but well presented and tasteful, and the main restaurant menu emphasizes fresh seafood including a shellfish platter and roast monkfish tail. Sunday lunch for two, available all day, comes (though not cheaply) with prosecco and Champagne The bar serves breakfast and lunch.
