Fodor's Expert Review Creelers
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
It would be hard to find fresher seafood than at Creelers. The shellfish served in the restaurant will often have been caught that day by the owners' own boat. The restaurant's name comes from the "creels," or baskets, used to gather shellfish. The restaurant serves a range of delicious smoked fish from its own smokery next door, as well as other fish and meat dishes. Try the Arran scallops with cauliflower and lobster or the halibut with a mussel chowder sauce. The restaurant does not sell wine but you can bring your own bottle (£3.50 corkage).
