Fodor's Expert Review El Toro
This pretty little hacienda is run by Spaniard Alfonso Vasquez and his Portuguese wife, Zélia Marques, who prepares all the food herself in the open kitchen. Outside is an enclosed terrace draped in flowering vines, while inside is a colorful dining room with handsome tiles and original art. Try the pontillitas (fried baby squid) to start, followed by the parrillada (mixed grill of meat, chicken, and chorizo)—a half portion is big enough to feed two.
