Fodor's Expert Review Restaurante Inácio
Just outside the 18th-century town gate, in a building with a lovely traditional facade, this well-known restaurant serves solid regional fare. Bacalhau is a good bet, as is the roast kid. The place also specializes in lampreia (lamprey fish) and sável (shad or river herring) when in season. The house wine is on the simple side, but the list is decent, so you have plenty of other options. Service in the stone-clad interior is brisk and efficient. Reservations are essential on weekends.
