A happening little bar right on the beach, Bar de Bitetos is popular among day-trippers out on the river and beachgoers looking for a break from the sun and sand. The menu is filled with typical Portuguese small plates (think sandwiches, samosas, and croquettes) as well as fun house-made cocktails. No beach bar is complete without the requisite caipirinha (cachaça muddled with sugar and lime) and this one is particularly good. Occasionally, visiting guest DJs and live bands keep the party going.
