Fodor's Review

Lisbon's main botanical garden was first laid out in 1874. Hidden behind the small Museu de História Natural (21/392–1800 www.mnhn.ul.pt) about 2 km (1 mile) north of the Bairro Alto, the garden is looking somewhat neglected, but makes a restful stop, with 10 acres of paths, benches, and nearly 15,000 species of subtropical plants.
