Fodor's Expert Review Estórias na Casa da Comida
This gourmands' haven near Jardim das Amoreiras has been serving up high-end cuisine for over 35 years, and has now been given a new lease on life by chef Duarte Lourenço and sommelier Ricardo Morais. The long-standing foodie favorite was dramatically redesigned in 2014, wowing interior design aficionados with an artfully eclectic look that blends kitschy chaise longues and ornate mirrors with the cool whites and crisp blues of Lisbon's iconic azulejo tiles. A candlelit terrace provides a romantic setting for alfresco dining during the summer months. Guests can snack on a superior line of petiscos (light bites) in the bar area, go à la carte, or opt for the eight-course "Madness of the Chef" tasting menu. For €60, expect gourmet treats like juniper-smoked rabbit, and a fish cake made from gooseneck barnacles and crab.
