Fodor's Expert Review Museu Etnográfico

Serpa Historical Fodor's Choice

Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.

Housed in the old market building, this small but well-appointed museum exhibits the tools of traditional local crafts, such as the production of cheese baskets and chairs, as well as ironwork and pottery. The permanent exhibition, Earth Crafts, provides an informative overview of how local industry has changed over the centuries. Free guided tours can be arranged if you call a day ahead.
