Trondheim

Trondheim is home to some wonderful historical buildings and sites. Take in the cathedral where Norway's kings are blessed (they're no longer crowned), visit some of the oldest buildings in the country, and marvel at the country's largest entirely wooden palace. If that's not your thing, stop in at a museum, or just enjoy the relatively mild climate as you walk along Nidelva River, admiring the view.
