Tromsø has more than 100 km (62 miles) of trails for walking and hiking in the mountains above the city. They're reachable by funicular.

Located half an hour outside the city, this outfitter organizes dogsledding trips, northern lights safaris, glacier walking, kayaking, summit tours, and Sami-style dinners, which take place around a campfire inside a lavvu (a Sami tent).
