The Thief

Landgangen 1, Oslo, 0252, Norway

Fodor’s Expert Review

Oslo's newest—and coolest—hotel is located in the city's newest borough, Tjuvholmen. This area was once home to the city's seedier characters, hence the name Tjuvholmen (meaning Thief Islet). The lobby area has a sleek, contemporary design with black walls but is saved from feeling gloomy by a cozy fireplace, lit most days. The lobby also exhibits artwork from Astrup-Fearney Museum next door. (Hotel guests get free admission to the museum.)
