  • One of greatest collections of Renaissance art in the world is housed in the Galleria degli Uffizi, featuring works by Giotto, Masaccio, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian, among others.
  • For centuries the Duomo, with its giant cupola, has been the symbol of Florence. You can climb the cupola's stairs to examine its inner structure. At the top, you're rewarded with a bird's-eye view of the city.
  • Pay homage to Michelangelo's David, considered the acme of High Renaissance perfection, at the Galleria dell'Accademia.
  • Eat! Florentine food specializes in grilled meats, especially the bistecca fiorentina (Florentine beefsteak).
