Unpretentious Alpine chic meets contemporary decor, with warm pine, ceramics, rich textiles, and wood-beamed ceilings—and all but one of the guest rooms have balconies. La Genzianella is also a bike-friendly hotel: there's safe storage, a sportswear laundry, mountain-bike rental, maps, and even an instructor. Lifts to the Alta Valtellina are 50 yards from the entrance, and there are lockers for ski equipment.
