Built with characteristic yellow tuff walls and restored in immaculate taste, this historic farmhouse provides an excellent base for the Cumae area provided you have a car. The decor and atmosphere are those of a top-notch hotel, while the price is refreshingly accessible. The villa is hard to find, but the owner-manager, Giulia, a fluent English speaker, will prearrange a meeting point closer to Naples and escort you to her home. For an extra €30, you can sample Giulia's inventive cuisine (dinner only), served under her leafy pergola.
