Piazza Trinità dei Monti 17, Rome, Latium, 00187, Italy See on Map Fodor's Choice

Perched atop the Spanish Steps, this charming boutique hotel makes guests fall in love over and over again—so popular, in fact, it's often booked far in advance. If you're lucky enough to find vacancy here, you'll enjoy stylish rooms accentuated with cheery turquoise and yellow decor. The extravagant rooftop garden is a wonderful spot for breakfast or a glass of wine.

The hotel has one panoramic suite to book, offering 360 views of the historic city.

Most of the rooms are decorated gorgeous Tiffany blue walls with gold beds, coverlets, and wallpaper. There's tons of lighting throughout as well as a desk. Rooms have air conditioning, a coffee machine, minibar, satellite TV and Wi-Fi.

Ask for a room with a terrace or balcony as you'll want to enjoy the people-watching here in the morning.

Bathrooms are a good size feature the same golden coloring throughout the floors and tiles. A full set of hypoallergenic toiletries and slippers are provided. Large mirrors magnify the space.

The lobby contains just a small check-in desk where you'll leave your keys each time you leave the hotel. The front desk is open 24-hours and staff is extraordinarily helpful with anything you might need.

Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, with lots of fresh fruits and pastries. The coffee is good and strong, just what you need to fuel a day of shopping. You can also help yourself to complimentary coffee and tea here throughout the day.

You can also have an aperitivo on the rooftop terrace in the evening. Enjoy a cocktail and a view of Rome's most lavish real estate at sunset.

Al Vino Al Vino (18-minute walk) has incredible bottles for great prices and despite being in trendy Monti, it's usually easy to get a table. Il Vinaietto (23-minute walk) is another unpretentious wine bar where the focus is all on quality reds and great conversation.

This hotel offers a boutique individualized stay in one of Rome's ritziest neighborhoods. You'll be steps from all the luxury shops in the city, and yet come home to a stay that feels like your own quaint apartment.
