Fodor's Expert Review Antico Noè

$$ Santa Croce Tuscan

The short menu at the one-room eatery relies heavily on seasonal ingredients picked up daily at the market. Although the secondi are good, the antipasti and primi really shine, and the menu really comes alive during truffle and artichoke seasons (don't miss the grilled artichokes if they're available). The fried eggs liberally laced with truffle might be the greatest truffle bargain in town. The short wine list has some great bargains, but note that, if you opt to order bistecca, you'll jump to a higher price category.
